We need a new range cooker - advice please!

Our Smeg range cooker has finally packed it in after struggling along for 8 years - would never buy Smeg again - it was crap - never worked properly right from the start :evil:

Anyway - we need a new one - gas on top, electric oven, around 90/100cm wide maybe a little wider, any recommendations of make/model and also where we can get one cheap? What are the good brands for this type of cooker?

Smeg are crap for sure.
Put this in my last house, very nice oven. De Detrich something or another....not cheap but good quality.

thanks for the help. May be postponing this decision as the Smeg lives... :roll: (for the time being). Wasn't looking forward to forking out a minimum of £800 to be honest :shock:

That's the trouble....stuff with a German name used to be made in Germany (Bosch etc) but nowadays are made in Poland. I think even Miele farm stuff out.
