Yup- a helluva lot of parts, even up to full appliances are made by Gorenje in Slovenia.............yer SMEG retro fridge differs from the Gorenje in outer casing and price only!

Rangemaster are part of Aga..........not quite the build quality of Britannia, but worth a look........

Stoves are part of Glen Dimplex, IIRC, nice lookin' retro ranges, mid price-ish

Have a look to at Cannon- Indesit group/Hotpoint etc.........again, low to mid price, but awright- we have a cannon 4-hob, nae complaints.

Whatever ye get, try tae screw some discount/extras out of the supplier!!

anything German is really good .

That's the trouble....stuff with a German name used to be made in Germany (Bosch etc) but nowadays are made in Poland. I think even Miele farm stuff out.

i have just spent £12000 on a rational oven at work and it is an amazing piece of kit .
