After more than 50years in the family, the lady went to auction today, she's lovely and it's sad to see her go but its for the best.
It's 4ft high and weighs a flippin ton, two of couldn't lift it.

It's actually 1861 believe it or not, sculpted by John Adams (Acton-Adams) in marble.
Blimey  guess that (marble) explains the crisp condition. I think there was a John Adams-Acton in the arboretum in Derby, a few years ago. Very nice. Why' she have to go?

I'll swap you an out of date PowerBar and a couple of valve caps for it

SOLD!

She had to go because of her value, the specialist auction is in July in London, meanwhile it's getting a full page photo and viewings.

ARTHUR: The Lady of the Lake,...
[angels sing]
...her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from
the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was
to carry Excalibur.
[singing stops]
That is why I am your king!
DENNIS: Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis
for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate
from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
