Possibly one of the most direct return comments I've read in a long time with no chance of recovery by the recipient. LOL.

I can understand the issue with too many projects. I also have a Cirrus to be built, a Blizzard, an Equipe and a Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt is taking priority as I have waited a very long time to find one and I want it done properly. I just hope I can get it back from repair before the Spring. A very minor repair from a well respected builder means you must sit back, wait and not question. (Like ordering gourmet Chinese food)

My 2 Canadian cents; build the Cirrus first!

RockiMtn, any word on repairing those 3 syncros forks you picked up? Mine (upon proper inspection) "could" use a fresh coat of powder but I can live with them as they are if it involves wrecking the top caps. I saw a guy in Vancouver that had a set converted to disc. It looked very strange on those skinny fork legs. Even more strange on the single speed GT he was riding with a rear derailleur still mounted to the dropout. You have to admit, that's even weird for Vancouver.

didn't you say you had everything for your Cirrus aside from the fork, which you now have? since the thunderbolt is "at the shop", think you should finish that up in the meantime! ;)

oh and i'm still waiting on pics… "tap", "tap", "tap". 8)

no, i haven't done any work on the bikes, aside from some time on graphics. too many other "responsibilities" on the home front to spend any time on "hobbies". :(

at least i can get into my car now… *sigh* long story. :P

Cirrus is all ready to put together aside from some more polishing on the frame and then decals obviously. Although I have final piece in the forks, I am struggling with what to do about having them powdercoated. The legs slip out easily enough and the cost is well within budget but it's those stupid caps that I don't want to break. I'd really like to have the forks coated since the frame and everything else will be so nice. It would be nice to have the forks at the same level. I even contemplated drilling a hole to blow some air in, popping them off and later having it brazed shut but there has to be an easier way.

The way I see it, I may as well do it properly the first time since I plan to hang on to it and I know I won't take it apart for a long time once I build it back up.

A syncros bar would cats a$$ though. Mine came with the standard RM bar. Pretty low end and heavy compared to all the other original bling. (the frame is pretty heavy given the thick tubing)

not so heavy. managed to get my Cirrus in between 24-25lbs.

throw on the Ti bar you snagged with the forks!
