Wanted: Campagnolo 9 or 10 groupset or bits in silver.

Hello all,

I'm looking at building up a steel bike with campy kit. I'm not too familiar with the campy components but I'm looking for 10 or possibly 9 speed. Not wanting to spend huge amounts as tempted by modern veloce at about 330 quid, so less than this.

So, mirage, veloce and maybe stretch older higher spec stuff. Ideally a compact chainset too. Maybe triple.

I get a feeling that older kit is really nice, even at mirage level. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've a 9 speed mainly Chorus groupset - I think the rear mech is Record - that isn't doing anything although the chainset is standard double rather than compact or triple. Any interest?

Definitely some interest from here. What era is it from? Is condition ok? What bits do you have and how much do you want?

I guess compacts weren't around in those days.

Hi, I've got a Ali festina Peugeot from late 90s that I was thinking of selling Got full campey mirage in chrome and brushed metal. 2x9. Rest of the bike has miche finishing kit was gonna ask 200 quid for it in ebay but could be perfect for you to strip and put onto a steel frame of your choice. Has hardly been used since new and in vgc

Another potential, many thanks. I'm still not sure about mirage as have had no experience of it. Any pictures of bike, and where are you based?

I'm based in cheshire, work in Staffordshire, if you have an email I could send some photos to pm me and I'll send you a few. I've never had any issues with mirage. I've ran two bikes with and always liked. Only selling as I've recently moved to the devils shimano because my procarbon came with ultegra, so looking to build a winter bike up with something like tiagra or 105 and I need to raise funds

2nd generation 9 speed so the rounded hoods to the Ergos. All in decent condition and consists of:
Chorus Ergos
Record Ti rear mech
Chorus front mech
Chorus 52/39 chainset and crank bolts
Chorus calipers
Campag cable stops
Campag 9 speed chain

I'm after £260 for that lot plus postage (which I reckon will be £10ish).
