"VRC, we have lost cabin pressure…"

Whether or not gm's allegations were exaggerated, the fact remains that VRC is in any case a sad sad place and the inhospitable behaviour of the central clique is sometimes off the scale.

However in the final analysis that just increases the audience for RetroBike.

Yeah but the funny thing about that page is that there were other posts after MrK's at least I think...that were self incriminating and ah...let's just say nasty and they don't show up anymore. From what I could recall...there were at least five or six posts below his before someone locked it up and threw away the key. All I did was raise the questions at the end to fellow members... the other words posted at the top came from someone else. For those of you needing to know what started the pot steering and then escalated it...you need to go back to the thread regarding eastcoaststeve's MVB bike of the month win....what most of the VMBEFG thought was the nicest bike didn't win. The "silenced majority" had spoken. No mod acknowledged who one or congratulated the winner for days and BP and eastcoast had a little exchange of words. Then on Thursday the March MVB thread started for fillet brazed bikes only and again the VMBEFG controlled the whole thing. The leaders posted quote was "well I guess that's ten then" referring to no more bike pics should be posted. Meaning they only wanted what had been posted even in the thread for the final ballot. They brought this on themselves. That's it I said it and I'm not talking about it anymore. Moved on.

To those of you that have and are posting support of/for me here....well I greatly thank you and I consider you my brethren.

Don't get on their bad side if you do like visiting there or the hammer will drop and this is what it looks like...

You have been banned for the following reason:
Rumpfy request

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

I debated about replying to this, since these guys don't really need to be brought down by it.

Kevin, you don't know enough about the situation to make the accusations you made (publiclally and via PM). You know nothing of me and VMBEFG. And when you look at...it was really only you causing the problem. You honestly think there is some secret society that's controling the market and doing illegal things? Really? Old bikes?

You earned your banning.

Retrobikers...enjoy this guy.

Eric again you are the one wearing the blinders. Please remove them and read all the posts above mine. Many are in support of me and most have little if anything good to say about you and the party you run at VRC. What don't you understand about the people here in this thread not wanting you here. We are here because you are there and We like it better that way. Besides you don't like retro, mid-level or mass produced bikes anyway and have posted that numerous times on VRC.

Isn't it time you go back to VCR now and play your game of SURVIVOR over there. I think your tribe is waiting for their leader to return... and they are hoping that he's man enough to gather his chief's and stand up in front of them with some apologizes for the way you've treated them... Outing Rumpfy he's over here guys!

Rabble rousing - out of order...

gm - sorry, but it's treading over a line to begin talking in terms of 'Retrobike' and 'we' over such an issue.

There is no 'we' on an open forum for an individual to command or direct - plus it's presumptive if not disrespectful to the owners/moderating team here.

The cultural differences are more than well documented (both amusing and the less so... ;-) ) between VRC and RB interests, so people continue to make their choices on their own regarding which sites they prefer.

Obviously there is a point of interest globally within the VRC thread you authored (deleted or otherwise) - until something of substance and authentication emerges, inciting the erection of inter-forum fences is simply not going to happen here.

Mr K - moderating...

There are always two sides to every story.

If an allegation is made in an open Forum regarding so called 'wheeler dealing' behind closed doors, it would be difficult for me to pass judgement without facts confirming or rebuking it. So at present I am not able to make a decision regarding gm1230126's post. :?:

However if an allegation is 'shouted down' by those in power openly and angrily without displaying any transparency for their peers to pass judgement then suspicions will arise. Suspicions are even more raised if those in power then delete the discussion from their pages.

I know neither gm1230126 or Rumpfy personally. But have had discussions with gm probably due to the fact that I also have a passion for GT Bikes. Gm1230126 does seem a nice bloke, owns some very very nice bikes, posts pics of them with pride and seems considerate and helpful in his views on others. I've never had experience of him slagging off someone's pride and joy. So perhaps he shares the same ethos as many of us here on RetroBike. Sadly I have seen the opposite on VRC where elitism is very much present with a low tolerance for 'lesser mortals'

Rumpfy can you please answer 'Why was that thread deleted?' Please put my suspicions to rest. Can you shed some more light on the matter? What was or is VMBEFG? Has gm1230126 been mistaken and overreacted?

Please don't take my remarks as anything slanderous or oppresive as I can only relate to my own personal experiences. BUT I don't think I can tolerate the absolutism of an authoritarian controlled so called 'Open Forum'

The word ERECTION is funny but thats probably us Brits

is this really relivant to retrobike.co.uk? and certainly in this section?

I think it is, it's relevant to the WW retro community and anyone looking for rare parts or purchasing retroparts on ebay. Sorry to be blunt, but if you don't want to read the thread, don't read it. Click another link.
