Wow there's a lot of love going on over the water.
I know gm1230126 is on this site and he seems a really nice guy. A real font of knowledge with regards to GT Bikes and most helpful when you've got a problem. He also sells a lot of pretty damn nice GT frames.
I don't know what the hell that thread is about though :?: I thinks it's something to do with controlling prices but not sure. It seems to have given the Moderators over there a sore head and gm1230126 now appears to be banned. I think that speaks for itself. I joined that site ages ago, did a couple of post's but wasn't impressed by the responses. Got blown out of the water a few times so I won't be going back. RetroBike stands head and shoulders above them. The Wanted and For Sale forums are awesome for people trying to maintain their bikes. It also allows a lot of people to find bikes that they dreamed of when kids. If you've got a problem you post it and get help and advice. I've manged to beat a few people to items on the 'For Sale' forum and even bloody apologised to them for doing so.
I think we in the UK (and Europe as a whole) are much more tolerant and friendly towards each other. One last point, is it me or is it also quite frightening how that thread includes posts about Bullets, ammunition and guns :shock:

i have read the whole thread, definate headache stuff, i never take it that seriously. i'm also glad that the stuff i want is not usually that rare so that how ever much tampering with the price there might be it wouldn't affect anything i want too much! 
anyway what something is worth is what you would pay plus the pound that someonelse is willing to pay more on top of your max!
i have however thought for quite sometime that this is the most friendly forum i have seen. i have looked at others, initially as a lurker and if i like the feel of the forum i join but guess what, no other has measured up as far as i am concerned for many reasons, whether it be arsyness or clicks etc by those on whatever forum.
