I've recently got a new Orbit Gold Medal touring bike, and can't keep 2. I'm therefore retiring my mid 70's Trusty Viscount Aerospace Pro:
Since I'm using the bits from this on my new bike, I'm selling the frame, forks, wheels and tyres only for the moment.
The frame has been resprayed in a copper colour, and is fairly presentable, though there are a few chips and scratches. It's 23" in size (seatpost CTC), with a 22.5" top tube.
For the frame, fork, headset, and bottom bracket (which is a modern one, rather than the original pressed in version), I'd like £60
Oh, and the forks are the original cast aluminium ones (though I believe the safest mk3 version, as far as I know)
Next, the wheels, which are 27", with the characteristic high flange hubs, and Weinmann rims. Front one has a bit of a dip from an argument with a pothole - although this is fixable, but the rear one's not bad. I'd like £10 for the pair.
Finally, the tyres. These are in most excellent condition, and are genuine original Continental Top Touring, in 27 x 1 1/4 guise. Completely unobtainable now, and would set off any vintage touring bike a treat.
Given their rarity, I'd like £30 the pair.
I'm based in Thames Ditton, Surrey, and would prefer collection, but could be persuaded to post.
