Virgin rebuild !

Retro Newbie
1st off hello peeps !
Great site you have here. :) I was pointed in this direction by Richard ( Retroringo IIRC from ebay), hya Richard !
I don't know the make or model of the bike, other than it had a "Townsend Weatherproof Technologies" 1" threaded headset on it, but I used it a very great deal and it's a very light steel frame!
The bike was disassembled about 5-6yrs ago and the frame was sent off to be sandblasted and powder-coated. Colours were chosen by my then 5yr old daughter :) it was originally all sunshine yellow (I still like yellow- the colour of my 2001 Trek 7000 ZX !)
I decided to put it all back together again so that my wife might also have a decent bike for commuting and tow-path/ gravel rides with said daughter and myself, instead of the weighty anchor of a push-iron she had rusting in the basement from when she was a single student  :D
So bearing in mind it's practical purpose I hope you're gentle with the criticism.
brake/shifters are Shimano Altus (A20), the front mech ( A10), 21 speed, with Deore LX rear mech and not too sure about the chainset, but they're stamped 170mm, MC12.
She's fun to ride, having fettled her all up this a.m. and took her out it was reeeaally nice to get back on !!
:D :D
This was a build in self confidence too as I have never done owt like this before, it was all pretty much a learning curve , kinda sorry it's all over tho !
Ta, Makman

PS I bought this 2nd hand in Jan, '96 £40
