The Outland VPP looks completely wrong with a Girvin up front. Most were supplied with a Z1 Bomber so its also a poor match for the rear travel of the bike.

The dead elastomer makes it look worse, but even so a 4" fork was considered the best match for the rear suspension when it was new.

I kinda thought the fork "matched" the rear end but to each his own. The elastomers were OK when we installed the fork but obviously couldn't stand the heat in the attic.

seeing as most XC FS bikes look like the Mantis, they had the right idea back then.

I liked it so much I went off to ebay to search for Manits and found this:
