Very, Very, Very Early Aluminum Mountain Bike

This one popped up a while ago, and the minute I saw it, I knew I had to own it.....








I've been trying to ID it without any luck, but I have hope.

looks very bmx'ie. possibly a very early crossover bike from the old manufacturers? cant think of who built alloy bmx BITD
 
Looks pretty cool, I like it.
Is there no ID marks on the frame or any distinctive features used by certain manufacturers ?
 
Titan made TI framed bmx's and steel and ti mtb's
That looks a bit rek tek but could be anything

Thanks for the interest...it's definitely BMX born. From what I have so far California made, still trying to gather leads on by who and when though.

There are a lot of odd, but cool construction details that make it stand out. The fork drop out are drawn over mandrel steel caps that slip over the ends of the fork. I'll take a few close ups when I get a chance.


Most peculiar thing about it is a stamped serial number 37...where are the other 36?
