my mates iron horse in the 90`s was 1,1/4 because my old man had to make a steerer for his forks

Indeed, all the evidence I'm finding points to this frame being 1.25" - I guess I'll be seeking some threaded forks, headset and quil stem to suit later in the week. cheers

you could get one of us to make some shims,turning your head tube into 1,1/8

HEADSET REDUCERS 1 1/4- 1 1/8

would be the best bet, I.D distribution as well as BETD do them.

i have a 1 1/4 judy crown that i can sell you if its any good.

A question though, i don't think kona supplied the DH frame with a purple swing arm though, i thought it was a grey colour anodised...
may be wrong..

i think Windwave still have rear shocks for these, coil only though.

i used to have the old hope technology test bike from years ago, that i bought from them..
