Is it compulsory for every RetroBike thread to decend into crap these days?

well .......its amazing you say that, because when certain people, respond to the topic of the thread, give there heartfelt reasons, for there choices, and display pics, of there choices too.

the only response given by others is......such and such did that ten years earlier...........that in itself kinda makes a mockery of the thread anyway.......who cares who did what first, as it was you who started the thread, perhaps something a little more constructive , would help and encourage people to contribute more.......? with comments/ replys like and i quote " cunninginham did that ten years earlier", where are the relative new guys goina go.......well simple turn it into a laugh, post sum serious alternatives, and "NOT" take things too seriously, either way it seems we cant win, ..............or should we all just vote for the cunningham and make things really easy.

Getting back on topic as this sort of crap seems to be happening all to often on here nowadays...:

If you're thinking cutting edge of that time, making most of new technology etc then really it does have to be an RC100 - whether you like the ride or not.

Other very notable contenders for who were pushing boundaries would most certainly be Doug Bradbury and probably the Trimble boys. Maybe even Slingshot.

TBH, mentioning a Cunnningham and the various Ritcheys, yes they may have been revolutionary in there time, but were certainly ageing by this point.

To me, suggesting them is like comparing a 959 to a Mac F1 really. Yes, revolutionary, but certainly not cutting edge anymore.

Why does my pointing out that the Konas design features were not groundbreaking make it a mockery? Why does every thread have to 'be a bit of a laugh'? It was a serious topic that could have stimulated some interesting comment and thought. But no, it's turned into the same purile vomit that pervades throughout these days. If it's not facism it's accusations of snobbery that gets banded about. It's ridiculous.

My comment was constructive and to the point. It wasn't intended to stop anyone from contributing. Your response to having a comment made about your nomination has been to spam the thread up with anything you can think of from the 80's without any thought or explanation. Just for a laugh!

Brilliant. I doff my hat to your comedy genius.

Wasn't there sumthin about............having multiple accounts.......on this forum,, punishable by an instant ban.......?

awesum!
