Ultimate 80's- Nominations please.

Kirk , magnesium bike made in a mould, inovative, cool looking and 80's.

In 1988 or 89 I watched a kid in Dundee pulling tricks on one of those and earlier I remember one on BluePeter that they drove over in a SWB LandRover, it did not break and could be ridden 8)

Made an effort there, not crap.............Si did you notice

As my futuristic bike of the 80's I would like to nominate The Whipet Safety Bicycle.

It was patented by O. Macarthy in 85, and made in the UK by C.A. Linley and J. Biggs in that year.

This is a prime example of an 85 vintage, full suspension, sloping top tube, short wheelbase, single speed, 29er bicycle.

I also believe, that even today, the full potential of the yellow bicycle frames is yet to be realised.

The interconnected and pre-loadable suspension system would make this bike especially suited for use in the wide range gravity situations found on alien worlds. Also, its solid tyres would make it eminently suited for use in a vacuum.

PS? Am I in the right century?
