i'm sure you're all at least vaguely familiar with dyna-tech frams. i'm currently wrestling over what colours to paint mine. i have a couple of schemes in mind (dark blue ends with pale blue middles, and dark red ends with black middles) but i thought i'd throw it open

the attached crude line drawing can be used for demonstrations - the only proviso is that it stay two-coloured and the two colours are divided up as shown.

no prizes involved, but if i end up painting it in your scheme, you'll get my ever-lasting respect.

Why not try lite green on front and back with lite blue in the middle, just my guess, look forward when it's finished.

white or cream main tubes with a light or baby blue headtube & rear 8)

i think i may have a winner. it'll have to be very clean - zero bling build though.

How about a Black Cherry pearl flip on rear stays, headtube etc. and a nice Old English White on the main tubes. Swweeeeet!

it certainly does. i left "achievable with cans" out of the initial description though. frame is a bit tatty to warrant a pro job.

You can get virtually any colour in a can now. Just look in Yellow pages and find a good largish motor factors and they can mix anything and put it in a can. If going two tone ask them to do the paint in 'basecoat'. Using this system you do your two colours seperately and then laquer over the whole lot when finished. Using this system you can incorporate special effects, fades, highlights etc etc.
