We were on our way back from Fort Augustus along the south route yesterday and wound up stuck behind a series of riders in two abreast formation.
I always drop to fifty yards behind riders in this scenario and wait until they notice us and have a decent stretch to let us pass safely. I appreciate defensive riding and the necessity for it.
Thing is, the wind was against us and pair after pair took ages to even notice us.
Not a bother for us, sights to see and all that.
However, think about getting a mirror if you don't want to throw your head over your shoulder now and then.
It is bad riding practise, impolite in the extreme and may well be your undoing.
