not much detail on that part......
it is hit and run, but sounds like the Abu Dhabi justice system is just as much of a joke as any other.....and as usual, money solves the problem....

shame there isn't more on the aid workers condition. would make a better story to hear their side of the incident.

in any race i've ever taken part in its been seen as the decent thing to do to help out anyone you see injured especially if you were involved in the incident and forget your part in the race. The competitor tried to finish the race rather than help who he collided with and get himself sorted, singleminded nutterdom :shock:

However the resulting legal shenanigans prove that many nations ideas of fair justice are saddly lacking far behind our own.

He should have stopped where he was and hopefully the medics would have treated them both as victims of an accident and that would have been that. Life and well being are more inportant than racing.

I take it he tried to finish the race as the aid table would have been well manned. The Abu Dhabi tri is one of the biggest in the world, not only would there have been other people there probably would have been a medical crew. I'm hoping he never ran her over and left here by herself in the street!!
