Trade: Red avid levers, canti for v.

After years of having not so good brakes, i think the mrs levers are canti

Looking to trade for some sort of ano red v levers, could put in some cash for different ones.

Avid SD2.0 (L?)

Polished up the bodies as the decals were scuffed. In great condition otherwise.

Can do bigger pictures if needed.

Hey Cyfa. Just for ref those are def canti levers you have there. They have quite long straightish blades.

The ones you need (for v's or discs) have blades like these (not mine), not seen red versions but silver turn up a fair amount. These were for sale here,

I have a pair of adapters to change the cable pull that'll let you keep what she's got if you like? Pretty sure that's what they do anyway...

I'll get them out and PM you either after work or on the morrow.

Eek! Just seen the discs, not sure they'll work as they replace the 90' noodle on Vs :? Do you have a bend going in to the caliper? Pic maybe?

What actually ascertains the pull ration on these brakes? Is it in the lever or the body. Im thinking maybe i could switch the levers onto 'v' bodies.

May not work.



The bike is in limbo at the moment. Currently trying to get rid of the black fork thats now on there - duke was leaky/had play - but she doesnt have enough money
One wheel has silver spokes now too
Oh and a silver shifter.

It's the distance from the pivot to the cable anchor, so not really modifyable...

You can get in-line adapters but I doubt it's worth it. Howsabout some nice cantis...?

someone mentioned on the other post that you can just adjust the dial on the top of the blade and they'll work fine.

They may work a bit better but not as well as V levers.

I think you can swap the lever blades. The bodies are the same. I think.

Yeah they work ok, just very spongey with the dial as suggested.
