Well.

Boots. Nail varnish. Take it in. Done it.
Halfords touch up kits. Done that too.
Professional spectrometer scanner thingy. Not done that.
Hand matched one off pot of perfect colour plus cellulose primer. Done that too.
Oh and humbrol paints from a model shop. And that.

Welcome to the wonderful world of wetrobike.

Re:

Thanks for your time with regards to" Hand matched one off pot of perfect colour plus cellulose primer"where did you get that?

I have a Boots store near me I could try that, there is also a nail bar near me I could ask the girls to match it,is there a technique with the nail varnish or does it sit nicely on the bike with the brush straight from bottle and would you need to bother appying a clear bottle of varnish afterwards?

I got a daughter to apply it.

Bribed with false eyelashes.

As for the pot of perfect, click the gran sport thread below

I read the whole thread,if I still had any hair I think I would have been pulling it out, interesting meeting those ladies that concocted you the colour,as you said looking at the photos, you could see the dirt that had got in to the damage making it a tricky job to clean.

I'm a non driver so I think I shall just stick with the local nail bar,the Thai girls that run it look friendly,I shall pop in when they have a quiet day,do you know if it's ok on bare metal and would it need sealing with anything after application?
