Torque wrenches! and torque settings?

Good advice. Ya can see why too with lots of alu alloy, but also these cranks are meant to be able to take a bashin! Not that I'll be giving them ever inch of bash but even so I can see the bashers returning em. They are splined, so the bolts just tighten the arm onto the spline. just tight should do it. "12-14N-m" similar tightness to an ahead stem should do it.

I bought one to use on my suspension pivot bolts as overtightening these can lead to the frame being damaged. But I've never used it on anything else.
I would recommend buying a good set of allen keys rather than using a multi tool though.

Eek didn't want anyone to fall out, not that they have! but a topical debate don't hurt. My dad was a self taught car mechanic and after a while of working in industry, and experience, maybe you just know what to do, how much force to apply, one of those six sense things, most skilled people have that, seen it across many trades. DIYers are much more a liability, hell how many wreck innertubes pumping tyres!!

:roll: not as good as the price tag suggests, strange as the other suff they do is good. The multi tool (mostly allen keys and simple screws, no chain splits or owt) is my first Crank Bros item and its awesome. tough and fits like a glove will buy more CB stuff defo if its as good. Als teh Halfords ones are longer so more risk of over doing it with my skinny muscles!
