Today's Ride

Great to be back out on a roadie but christ my road legs are shot - tried to supplement it with running and being out on the mtb but it's nowhere near the same, I do not feel like the same person who was doing 5am 70 mile 5k elevation rides less than two months ago but it'll come back 🤞

It will come back. You just have to do a lot of it, as you know.

Finally finished Cyril and had two rides today, the first was a short ride to Sainsbury for some burger buns for the BBQ. A few minor adjustments and I headed out later in the afternoon.

(Bar wrapping is not my speciality)

Had not planned to goto the park, but was having so much fun gliding along on this I kept going...

It was about 21C still - no real wind - park was quiet - as it always is on a Sunday evening. (Sorry for lame NDS shot!)

Then today's ride turned into Today's Walk as I got a puncture :( I'd not planned a longer ride so had no tools or spares... luckily only about 3km from home

Turned out it was a thorn.

Lovely looking bicycle there Phil . Tricky close with the rear centre pull yoke . I had an old Galaxy like that, 5mm of pull .

No final race for me. Rubbish wet n windy weather, and life's too short to be soaked and filthy, especially on a Sunday and a long drive home.

So I spent 90 minutes sweating my arse off.

This morning. 12 degrees, chill in the air. Damp for half the ride, dry as a bone the other. Clear skies and some high cloud with the remains of the mega moon. 10-12 mph WSW breeze. Mega riding conditions.

Had an appointment cancelled this morning so I grabbed the chance of a bright and breezy quick local trip.

(Yes, it looks like that chain needs a little tweak.)
