Started off nice and bright today.
I used to make an effort to collect the millennium mileposts. Now I just tick them off when I meet them. This one's an old acquaintance.
Not so bright an hour later. That's where I was heading, right underneath that black cloud.
Slight amount of bike anxiety the last few days, I do try and get out as early as possible but some days due to schedule (or just straight up not being bothered) it's not possible. I'd say I'm more comfortable on road compared to bridleways/shared paths/etc (odd I know) but as much as there's a right to be on the road sometimes it feels like a dick move pottering along struggling on an mtb on a national limit road. Got out for a bit on the afternoon, mix of road, some bridleways and a bit off the beaten path at the end.
Ended up buying a Felt road frameset off eBay for pretty cheap. Alloy frame, carbon fork with external routing and a regular BSA BB so no fiddling with press fit. Should do just fine till my Bianchi is replaced, then it'll be winter/trainer bike duty.
Quick spin this morning before the rain and wind arrived. The year's riding is beginning to pay dividends on Strava, if such things really matter (which, of course, they do!).
