Today's Ride

He certainly had a talented tounge, 14 children!

Decided to go for a gentle ride today, which ended up being a bit longer but a really enjoyable one.

Headed over to the woods where Pines bike trails are though stayed out of there and rode some tracks around the outside. The air was cold but was quite mild when riding which meant i could put some effort into the short but sharp climbs. Some great far reaching views once up on top as most of around here is flatish.

Mostly dry trails with the odd puddle so going was fairly quick, great ride.

Mild today but a cold wind.

Havent been out much on the bike recently due to various issues but made the effort today. I must admit that up until about 3 miles i was thinking about turning around and heading back. Glad i didnt now though, as usual it became less of a chore and also washes away some of the problems of life.

Wasnt a long ride, just a few hours of easy going trails/tracks. Ended up at a park which has some good views, looking back over Hardwick. Also has a very short section of mtb trail which is so tight it is ideal for little wheeled bikes. Rude not to ride it though as someone had built it. Had a bit more energy on the way home and was nice to be able to ride the last stretch with a bit of speed instead of the usual heavy legged slog after a longer ride.

Great little ride, nice day too.

Re:

First off-road of the year thanks to 4 consecutive days of no rain, the first time that's happened since September last year. Pleasingly I wasn't feeling too rusty so fingers crossed that continues to improve.

Re:

Took advantage of my one outing per day for fitness and went for a ride. There were very few people out and about and I stayed safe from those that were. It was beautiful day and just a joy to be out on a bike.
