Cool shot-A WW11 DUKW- otherwise known as a Duck. These were a modification of the standard Army 2 Ton cargo truck with 6 wheel drive and a prop-there is a company here in SF that has a fleet of them to take tourists on Bay Cruises. No ride today, because for the first time in a while, we actually are getting rained on-Hooray, because we need it...
Had a really weird ride yesterday. Very warm for being November, but the sunset already at 4 PM kinda surprised me... so the last couple hours were spent riding in the dark.
Wow, that's really early-here the Sunset time today is 5:09 PM, and tomorrow's Sunrise is gonna be 6:38 AM. I am at almost exactly 38 degrees North, however...
Today-Wednesday-A beautiful Fall day, about 72 F. and sunny. Up to the West of town today, about 900' climb. On full zoom, about equivalent to a 480mm lens on a 35mm film camera, the East Bay comes out pretty good-about 15 miles away...
Today was a lovely almost typical November day in the South East of the UK, foggy and slightly drizzly but fairly mild. Mrs was busy picking up a friend from down under so thought I'd sling a leg over one of the collection.
Only fell off twice, once was a forward role thanks to a very deep water filled pothole at the end of a little puddle, second time a slippery tree root saw me hugging a tree trunk left leg bore the brunt of both crashes.
