Remembered to take my ancient camera on a 16 mile ride around some back lanes south of Guildford. Bit overcast but warm enough.
Here's a view, a medieval cart track with some tarmac thrown onto it and a leafy lane.

Looks very pretty. Could ride those lanes all day. Plenty of single track in the sun today.

Re:

Today-Wednesday-An afternoon ride straight up to the West of town, about 900'-86 F. and sunny in Fairfax, but when I got up high enough, I could see it was foggy on the Bay and in SF-I like our weather here better...

Re:

Not posted for a while on this thread. Been building up to this:

Three full days and a little pootle to find the Broom Wagon this morning. Home now. A great experience. I could write a full Edwardsesque account but the events are too many and too distant to recall and mention. Wrong turns, good turns, hills and vales, buns of steel and buns for breakfast. The coffee was good. Cake and pie local, fresh and in abundance. Not to mention steak and sausages.

Oh and the ride? Sublime. About a hundred miles covered and over four thousand feet climbed and descended. Slow rides and explorations. She picks up her skirts when required. 40mph fully loaded is enough.

Now I seek out lighter kit. A lot lighter.

Illustrations.

The first hour of the first day was the first hill.
