Today's Ride

Decided to take the old Raleigh out for a ride today (nothing to do with the fact it's my only working bike). I'm limited to short rides at the moment due to a rib injury. Probably not the best steed to take off road when bumps hurt šŸ˜‚ but still 15 miles isn't too bad.

As much as this bike is heavy, uncomfortable and 'old' I love it. There's something oddly satisfying seeing people look at you with a strange expression on their face.

It's good to be different.

Long time lurker here. This afternoon's 28 km ride just north of Copenhagen on my 1999 (I think) Trek 2500 Alpha SL. Pics taken at the east coast at the Knud Rasmussen monument looking north towards Klampenborg and Bellevue Strand and south to Amager and the Ƙresund bridge. 16C and sunny!

Still filling in some empty spots on the rides map ended us up south west of Corby/Kettering today. Doesn’t sound great but found some nice villages, bridleways and cake. Just over 30 miles. Didn’t get much above 14 degrees, not much sun, was a long sleeved t-shirt ride.

Last week I flipped the stem to get the front bars up a bit, this week the seatpost went up about 2cm. I found I was much more comfortable especially when climbing, the best/fittest I’ve felt on a ride for a few years.
