While i believe the American government to be a fairly cynical institution, as all governments are I don't believe for an instant that they would sacrifice the lives of so many people including almost 350 firefighters and paramedics just to justify an invasion of Iraq.

I also believe that there is absolutely no way that Iraq was in any way linked to the attacks and the US used the attacks to justify an invasion that Bush had been itching for. The humanitarian abuse and military attacks on Iraq that had been going on for years were virtually unreported in the west.

+1 oil was the only motive for the iraq invasion....mugabe has committed far worse atrocitys and we ignore him as he has nothing to take.

And you would be surprised how far a government will go to preserve it's way of life,ie cheap energy etc.

surely it would take 100s of workmen a lot of time to wire such big buildings with explosives . unless they all have been killed , one of them would have talked by now .
