today i am breaking one of my own rules

those of you that know me will know that i have some rules

Rule 1.

if thou hast a cable hanger on the frame you must fit canti's and not V brakes



Rule 2.

never use a long valve inner tube on a standard rim.



Rule 3.

always try and match components in some way



Rule 4.

never throw away anything broken till all spares on said part have been saved for potential future use.


here is the slippery slope, i had no choice.

i hate it, i feel really bad about it, it looks so wrong.

tubes have been ordered, i should have waited, not put the wheels in, but no, i couldn't wait.

With that one thoughtless action you have ruined Retrobike for me.

I will now either go and buy a Focus from Wiggle or build myself a down hill rig or sled or whatever they call them and push my bike up hills then go hurtling down them for a few minutes before pushing them all the way to the top again. No more for me just going out for a ride on my charming old bikes. I will become both a Wiggle Monkey and a Downhiller.
