Just how much stronger, if any, are titanium rails over Cro Mo on saddles?
I have a WTB pure V with titanium rails but have read recently about titanium failures on saddles, am I on the road to a fractured seat rail ( hopefully nothing else!)

My first proper saddle was a Vetta SL cro mo, got it in 92 and still have it, it is very rusty and I dare not use it (in fact I think it may have bade then bin in the last move, can't remember).
I got a Vetta SL ti in 94, one of my first rides had a huge crash, riped the cover off and bent the hell out of it. My shop mechanic at the time was on the ride and put it back together and straighted it al out at the end of the ride (and replaced the 8 missing spokes)... that saddle is also still going (gave the biek to a mate 2 years ago) and it made it through 3 bent seatposts due to my lardness.
My flite I got in 96 and that is also still going, the cover is a bit sad, but the rails are fine.

To me Ti>> cromo.

The WTB is probably the comfiest saddle I've owned and I've had a couple of Brooks, but it's my first saddle with titanium rails, I've always had steel rails and wondered how strong it would be because of its low weight, and the fact that I'm a Clydesdale, 6ft 5 and 20 stone, and can be a little hard on gear when getting enthusiastic.
:-)

Re:

The main benefit I've found with ti rails is the nice bit of give that irons out some of the trail buzz
