Titanium Frame - What Make? Kona? Rocky? ???

Hmmm,.. I bet you are right because the under BB cable routing means older frame, so cantilevers for sure, and Kona was the only one to use dog collars...

That bring said, am I going to have a hard time finding a dog collar for it??? Is it the same size dog collar as what comes on a steel Kona? I.e. Are they all the same or does the Ti one take a special hard to find clamp size???

Thx!!

Ok.... Just got it home... here's some more pics... If it is a KONA would it be a 27.2 seat post? seems to be but not sure??

I think you are right but mine must be older due to the dog collar for canti brakes

Any idea on seat post size? Does 27.2 seem right? 27.2 goes in perfectly but almost a little too easily

If that's not a Hei Hei I'll eat my hat!
Same frame # configuration as Hei Hei's, the 602nd size 19 frame built. To date it you'd have to compare frame #'s with other size 19's that have been dated. In '96 Hei Hei's were equiped with magura's so had hose guide's instead of cable stop's and dog collar's (seen a few '96's with V's but they had a rear brake cable stop) and from '97 onward they had the rear cable stop for V's. So must be '95 or earlier.
My '94 Hei Hei take's a 27.2 seat post and never seen any go larger on a Hei Hei so reckon that's the size you want.
Dog collar from a steel frame would be too small, think one off an alloy frame is your best bet

Ok cool thanks! The seller found the original dog leash so I'm safe there =)

I'll start a build thread shortly

It's a Kona, as it has the same dropouts and BB guide as mine.

My frame number is B19536 and it's a 93.

I hope that helps,

Jon

27.2 for the seatpost and 31.8 for the dog collar(28.6 for steel)
:D

I think you'll find the steel frames are more like 30.0mm as they get larger just below the seat tube/top tube/seat stay cluster. I made
that mistake a long time ago, once, and never again
I'm sure you can use a dog collar from an alloy Kona on a Hei Hei though, however I don't know the exact measurement...time's like this you really need a digital vernier
