Tioga Psycho II's Any Good?

Psycho II's :? These thing were lethal on wet tarmac. They are the only tyre I've ever known that could chuck you on the pavement with one push of the pedal

I used to love my all black Psycho 2's, cheap and worked well. Never liked the look of the amber wall version.

I never got on with psychos, they seemed prone to understeer on the front and never really gripped as a rear tyre. The tyres came as OE on my Trek 930, soon took them off and replaced them with Conti XC's, been a big Conti fan ever since.

I always thought they were the worst tyres ever, when my Specialized Ground Controls wore out, i went straight onto Panaracer Smoke & Dart combo. Actually still run a 2.2 blackwall Dart on my FSR....

I used Psycho Kevlars BITD as so so light... also they hated mud, punctured every day, and washed out mercilessly in sandy conditions. That said, Id love a pair now. I always wanted a set of the biscuit ones but could never justfiy the £££s!!!

Dreadful tyre, But oh so cool tread on an old schooler! Such a shame they were pants!

Cheers,Al

i thought the front was the same and the rear TIRE was the only difference. meaning there was a front and rear specific, unlike the first generation.

IIRC you just ran them different way round for front and rear. There was a pyscho TT for rear use, and a psycho edge for front use, just before they were pulled from the market (now where's that old caratti catalogue...)
