When faced with another tasty looking bike made from some or other fancy pants material I simply refer to the below from Retrobike's very own Confucius to bring me back to reality and the knowledge that they will all be untimately pants.

This is my simple to understand list of frame materials.....


Steel = good

Alluminuminium = bad

ti = only if all the steel in the world has ran out.

Carbon = more bad than Alluminumnium.

Wood = bad, but not as bad as Alluminuminium.

Bamboo = bad, but only 6.37% as bad as Alluminuminium.
