The Retrobike Wiki Project

I think some targets and aims need to setup ?
What is wanted out of it. I see articles with reference to modern stuff in there and little about the old stuff (Shimano for example and modern talk in Rock Shox) also link to other sites are placed in there but not links to our own info here be it the Archive or the Forum ?

I'm not Wiki person but am hesitant to add without a plan, probably much like other people.
I Cut&Paste some of the weenie stuff but the Link that was on the front page to the category has gone ?

P.S. and you certainly need a link in white in the blue bar at the top :D

Hopefully some that know companies and component background will show up at some point. OR retro howto's at that.

I notice one of your edits has
copy from en:WP

What is en:WP ?

I'll be editing when I get some ideas and a good stretch of time :)

wikipedia - English language version

if you have time enough to write here you have time enough to create an article or two on our wiki :)

Here are ideas:

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/index.p ... ll_of_fame
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/index.p ... ufacturers

Search Google or wikipedia, create an article, write something. Try to make it relevant. Easy as pie.

Or - if you prefer something personal - write about your bikes - the originals that is. E.g. Rocky Mountain Altitude 1991 or Fusion 1992.

I've started on the Pace page...more to come when I have some details infront of me... feel free to chip in :)

I was in the process of moving the weenie stuff across but the category on the front page vanished.
next on the list was suntour models and some old rockshox stuff.
after moving the weenies stuff across, well I went of to look at an easy way as there no real easy way to add tables and I don't fancy righting it in markup language even if it wiki markup language. Along with an easy way to add pics to each enty if there was one.
I then got sidetracked answering questions here

any help on easy ways to add tables and make it easy for others to add them as they come and keep it in say alphabetical order... The WikiMedia doesn't seem powerful enough .

Added the workshop and weenie categories back to the front page and made it so you can see them instead of hidden away at the side I hardly noticed.

Why are you using manual list for the manufacturers and not an auto-populating category ?
