Oh how could we miss.

SARACEN !

the words catalogue and bike spring to mind.

Or if you are in your late thirties words like 'pioneering, first comercially available UK mountain bike, Fillet Brazed Prestige Tubing, full XT, KilliFlyer and once great' would spring to mind.

Oh dear must be Saracen owners about.
In my defence and being in my VERY late thirties I only remember the overpriced tat they sold in Halfords.

Brand bashing? Moi?

Read it again in context and you will see that I'm defending Saracen and gave the reasons why. Saracens up to the early 90's were fantastic bikes and I have many happy memories of owning one as a youth.

Read twice before you flame!!

Just to clarify, I wasn't flaming your comment Si.

It's just the usual recycled GT/Kona/Saracen/Halfords comments which get a bit dull after a while.
It seems these threads always end up with everyone's loved/hated brands being pitched against one another. Isn't the cool wall for that?

Why can't we all just get along eh? I'm off to break out the patchouli oil...

I still think 'Ruddock' makes a good swear word though as in "you dirty pole stroking Ruddock!"
