The Retrobike 'special' handshake appeal...

I'm just sitting here with a new old frame in front of the telly in the front room.

Bought with a handful of emails and pm's with one or more members.

Collected and delivered in the same evening by another member that happened to be in the neighbourhood and travelling south.

A handful of other members are scouring the garage for odd bits to adorn it as I write this.

Another member will no doubt pop over at the w/e and help me build it for the price of a cuppa and some cake.

Seriously, this little forum of ours is like the Masons.

We need a special Retrobike handshake to honour this and give a special nod to those that know.

So, can the ministry of silly handshakes get to work please and come up with, at the very least, a special 'westside' hand gesture that we can adopt.

I think the secret hand shake may be redundant... we're not particularly hard to spot with the amount of bling most of us roll up on!

How about a subtle 'thumbshifting' movement when shaking hands?

Those who use: Rapid-fire will press the back of your hand twice with their thumb.
Rapid-fire Plus will tap with their thumb then use their ‘trigger’ finger.
Grip Shift will try and twist your wrist.
Single speeders will just stare blankly at suspicious hand movements.

Just be careful of roadies who use down tube shifters or bar end shifters :shock:
