actually you would be surprised how bad a cone condition could be and there is no affect to the sound. i had a pair of audio note speakers that the rubber had completely disintegrated and they still sounded fab with no distortion as expected. any way enjoy them and good luck. you had a right touch there.

A bit of a shot in the dark, but I'm in need of help regarding some hi-fi gear. I found what seems to be an Empire MC-5M cartridge (secure in it's original packaging, albeit used) when going through a bunch of old hi-fi stuff that I'm about to sell, but I can't find much reliable info about it online. Would it be worth selling, and if so what would be a fair price?
