The 'next project' syndrome

Had a look through my Photobucket account last night..

very depressing when you do that,the bikes ive owned in the last year

plus a nail trail..

just start a mega expensive project & it'll take ages to finish

Or make it change it's spots for each season. Hardtail, rigid, singlespeed, race whippet, freerider ( for luddites like us that would mean big tyres and Vs ), thumbies, rabid fire ( yes, I spelt it right ), purist, old skool and so on but...all on the same bike. How's that sound?

im just the same just lately ive had to get a grip and while ill keep the majority of the frames i have collected the components i seem to amass is getting ridiculous! I go to the shed to work on a bike and i just dont know where to start! so a massive clearout is in order so i can concentrate at one bike at a time this winter i must have a klein!

Does that means you are selling all your bikes and keep one for yourself?

I start to get a bit concerned when a project nears completion,part of the whole buzz of building these bikes is finding that part that you want,searching the for sale forums and ebay at all hours,the anticipation of things arriving in the post,when its complete and theres nothing more to find i feel im missing out on something.

again!? I swear you had a clearout a year or so ago!

anyway, it probably is the joy of finding bits and bobs and then when youre done... its on to the next one. When does it stop though! I have 3 bikes now I wouldnt consider selling, and one project going that promises to be great too, seems it could go on for EVER!

Oh, stew-B, I want that Rasacal! the only Klein id consider - and my size!

yeah i did that took me down to about 3 bikes iirc now im back up to 11 well 9 now a few have gone.
