I agree, clearly that's preferable to its current condition and will shine up nicely. Just make sure that if you decide to eBay it later that you make note that it's been repainted albeit to a high standard. :wink:

for the bottom bracket bearings, klein used standard FAG or SKS bearings, to be bought in any bearing shop.
the FAG code is 6003-2RSR (C3 version when available, other will do also). depending on crank to be used, you might need to source another axle length of course.

headset bearings are far more difficult and klein specific. watch out on ebay, also are available here but very expensive:

thanks for that link. I wonder how those compare to the $69 "Trek/Klein NOS headset bearings" that are available on eBay. Do you know anything about their quality?

Have you got a link to the ones for $69 on eBay?
