The mythical £50 Gator Attitude!!!

the headset bearings can still be ordered from your trek dealer (at least in the usa...) i also got the headset tool set and everything

I also have an extra bottom mc2 bearing because they sent me the mtb set when i needed the quantum pro (my fault for going to the lbs and having them handle it..... took a f*cking year before I went to the trek store and asked them to get the bearings and stuff, they had it in 5 days EVEN AFTER LOOSING THEM FOR TWO DAYS, which was my fault because i took the frame into the wrong branch so they had to have the bearing shipped from one to the other.)

also still have that mc2 bearing (just the lower one.... the top bearing on the mc2 mountain set = the bottom of the mc2 road set) that you could have for cheep cheep / probably just postage, i think i spent something like $20usd? also have mc2 headset spacers if you want them, also MTB not quantum pro size like i need.

P.s. I dont know weather to be jealous of you or feel sorry for you, it will be quite the undertaking and cost a pretty penny, but i think youll love it  god what a project!

I also assumed the auction had been cancelled, rather than completed.

It DOES look like it needs some work, but you won't get much sympathy at that price
It has to be B.O.T.Y. (Bargain of the year), without a doubt!!

Well done - Great score.

haha I got that quantum pro i mentioned for something like 47 pounds frame fork mc2 stem and topcap mint condition. there are a LOT of good deals to be found if you know where to look

p.s. the postage on the mc2 bottom bearing / spacers would be from the usa in case that matters much.

Those are the ones I was thinking about. That auction just ended a couple days ago so the seller probably hasn't gotten around to putting up another ad. I think the same seller offers MC2 bearing set for similar money.

I bought the MC2 bearings from the same guy. He didn't have an auction at the time so I contacted him directly. Nice dude and shipped fast too.

MC1 headset bearings are available and in stock with Trek UK for £28 each and can be oredered through your local Trek dealer. The eBay seller sold them for $69 a pair which is about £41 at current exchange rates, add postage from USA and the Trek UK price probably isn't that much more expensive for UK people.

wow lucky git

ihavnt posted on here for a while... ive been busy with work but ive got to say that kleins seem to have dropped in price dramatically since i last looked !!!!
