The last hope of the USA

This is a big problem for me too.
But your pound will fail too in the end, it's deterministic, inherent to how our monetary system works. It is designed to create debt.

Hey Mikee,

If you know where money comes from I might understand your thoughts about the euro (in it's current form), but that would implicate that you would have to know that your own country is in the same shit as the rest of us.

What happens in the City? Who owns the stocks of your central bank? Why is there always inflation? Why is the national debt ever-growing? Why does the economy have to keep on growing?
Why are those producing all the real wealth in the world in debt with the bankers who do nothing more than printing money out of thin air, lending it out and charging interest on it?

We should print our own interest free money.

I know some will understand.
I know many won't.

Yes it is astonishing the way banks can create money and lend it with interest. I've read that the dollar is worth $0 if all the debt on it is paid back, don't understand that fully :?

we dont need the euro depndancy
we are a small nation 5.4 m with enough smarts to go it alone

my thoughts for the future

When they were chirping on about Wales becoming completely independent from England it was bought to my attention that the total revenue from welsh workers income tax wouldn't even cover 20% of the national outlay for 12 months
This may or may not be true :D

fiscally our lot are doing quite well

thats why we have free prescriptions and elderly care

Your country doesn't have any debt then?

National debt is stealing from the future generations. Having national debt means the former and current generations of the people have been living above their standard, at expense of the generations to come. At some point the debt will have to be settled. You can go on worrying only about your own life, don't mind thinking about the future or life-quality of your grand-kids.
All european countries have a money-system that creates debt, yours included.

:D

What a pile of crap.

The 'debt' is purely a paper figure, more easily torn up and binned than the destruction of all the material wealth that exists.

It is simply a case of moving a few zeros for it to disappear.

So Europe owes big time to China, India and the Saudis?

Come and get it if you think you are hard enough!

Personally I would be perfectly happy to go it alone as Scotland the brand.

I don't reckon the pound is anything near failing, it has a nation of leaders and innovators underwriting it - not a bunch of faceless bureaucrats.

Mon the UK!

If your statement about debt is true then why is the debt-system deciding what politics a country has to endorse. If democratic governments get their legitamacy from the people, then why are politicians only worried about the interests of the international bankers?
Lender is master over borrower, that's what I know.
Debt cannot be erased as easy as you say, if the borrower get's out of line the international bankers can finance his enemy or his rival.
That's obviously hurtful.
