The Immigration Debate........

So a developed nation such as the UK has to rely on imported white collar workers like doctors, from third world countries like Nigeria and Pakistan? With our excellent education system throughout the decades are we are not capable of "growing" our own doctors in the required quantity?

Clearly not in the numbers required . Maybe when they get so far in their NHS careers , they switch to private practices . Just a thought . Remember , there are many jobs that immigrants will do that our own population refuses to do . The fact that they commit themselves to travelling here in the first place , is evidence enough that they will be more hungry for work than those who may have to walk to the nearest bus stop . There are some amongst us who simply 'Can't be arsed ' . This is the sad reality .

Or hungry for our soft arsed hand out culture and relatively refined way of life on the whole....

And because they're foreign , they are more worthy of our anger than our own ? I think not .
As with many debates , the few bad eggs will be made out to be the norm .

This is just my two pennies on the whole immigration thing. dont really care what anyone else thinks.

Personally id only let the ones who are qualified/experienced enough to do the jobs that we actually NEED filling such as doctors. People who actually want to work hard and will fill what we NEED. yes some younger people will become doctors etc in the next five years but were going to need more then too, but i do think they should speak fluent english and proper fluent english instead of just enough, and understand our "culture" before they come here.
The thing is, its all good saying, we need jobs but half our nation just doesnt want to work, half the young people now would rather just have a child at 15 and have everything paid for, for the rest of their lives. There is the small minority of people who actually want to work and do work hard but theres not many left within the "white british".
Im now on a apprenticeship in a halfords autocentre where the assistant manager is polish and i work nights in a factory packing food where 3/4 of the workforce are polish/indian/romanian etc and rest are "british" i have to say that MOST of them are some of the most polite people ive ever met, all respectfull, all hard working, infact they all work alot harder than british people i know. the fact is, theyre willing to travel god knows how many miles to come and do the jobs that "our own" wont do. fair play to them as far as im concerned. aslong as theyre working, not committing crimes, paying all the taxes we would pay, supporting themselves/their families, i dont see the problem BUT i do believe that we need to get "great britain" back to how it apparently once was. Force those who wont work to work any job theyre told to do and if they dont, boot them out. this country is a joke now as are many other countries but this one is laughable. sometimes im ashamed to be british. i personally dont know anyother 19 year old as hard working as me who is british. the 19 year olds i know that are, are immigrants. says alot about "our own".

get rid of the people we dont need/refuse to work and bring in the ones we do need and will work.

I have lost the will with the whole thing, the country is beyond repair and has evolved into a monster things WILL get worse and there is nothing anybody can do to change this.

If they didn't need people to work for the shit money they wanted to pay it wouldn't be necessary. we need fair pay for the people in the country to make them want to work. FFS try and persuade someone to sign off for £6 an hour. Whilst realistically you need to earn £15 to £30 an hour to live a basic life. So they fill the country with people prepared to live the extra frugal life required to live on the rubbish money they want to pay whilst we moan about the state supporting those without work or working for next to nothing

Meanwhile, back in reality...

There are millions of people living a basic life on half of your low figure. We don't need to double the NMW, we need to force, not persuade, cajole or encourage the workshy to become contributors and limit immigration to fill whatever qualified posts which are left.

£30 an hour is c. £60k a year ffs. That to the vast majority of people in the UK is unattainable mega money, not 'a basic life'.

Thanks for saving me some time.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me. :( :( :( :(

When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle

Why is debating a very real issue rediculous?? Just because you dont agree with some of the poins made does not make the topic unworthy of debate, especially in this democratic society that all of us enjoy here in the UK. People have a right to voice their concerns/opinions, or would you rather we didnt have a say?
