that old chestnut: road rage

its getting worse out there, the roads can be like a war zone.

around here in newcastle city centre in the mornings, afternoons and the dreaded, anything goes night times!

i nearly crash everytime im out, each day is pure luck and you have to be 100% switched on.

i dont tend to react to the dickheads as much thesedays though, 3 times i have been targeted so badly i have actually rammed 2 4x4s off the road cutting me up, and also a council pickup truck that undertook me when the driver threw his chip wrappers out the window.....i smashed in to the side of him when he tried to cut back into my lane at the next roundabout.

i dont mess about, try and crash into me and i will smash your car up

Jeez, glad I dont live in Newcastle..... you seem like a mentalist!

G

Just gets on top of me at times, I'm actually quiet

Must add, when police have came out, they always go knock for knock, only once have I had to claim on insurance too  And that wasn't on my policy.

People don't half calm down when you give them a smack though

Get yourself a Land Rover.

Winch bumper front and rear, rock sliders down the sides and tinted windows.

Nobody will f$$k with you then

even today, 2 lane roundabout, I'm turning right, guy next to me cuts across both lanes almost taking the nose of the car off, if I hadnt braked...

I used to drive a Unimog with a front mounted wood chipper sticking a good 6 foot out front through Newcastle city centre every morning and still people cut you up.
These days I'm quite proud that I'm chilled enough to let it go and get on with my day, I've always got something better to do than fight over 30 yards of tarmac I don't even own.

I find everyone seems incredibly preoccupied these days or selfish. motorbike, cycle, pedestrian........i really have to watch out.

The thing that gets me is that they look straight at you, yet they still carry on !!!

Even just crossing the road today. A woman was getting ready to pull off a car park onto a road. I stopped looked at her to see what she was doing, nothing so i started to cross, then looking right at me she drove right at me, stopping me in my tracks half way across the road in the path of other traffic, and she just crawled past with a smirk

Fridays evenings always carnage. The traffic is noticeably heavier as everyone is rushing back for something usually stay in work a bit later to cycle back to avoid it all.

Just got back from having a trucker hanging off my back bumper, speed limit drops to 50 around the road works with big signs about average speed checks so i slow to 50...if you want to go faster go round me, simple.

I'm not risking my licence for your sake...perhaps next time don't flip him off though
