tell me about Enik

i just acquired an 80ies enik bike. columbus aelle tubing and full shimano 600 groupset. and a knackered enik-branded selle san marco laser saddle.

it seems to be very well made and the collection of components is rather consistent. and it has the ugliest paint job, i have seen. i am really looking forward to post this in the readers bike section as the restoring develops.

it has proved really hard to find information about the enik brand. apart from it being german, i know nothing. is there anything worth to know?

apart from the bent bars it just needs a good cleaning and new tyres/tubes fitted.

oh, and i'ill try to tone down the paint scheme with black saddle and bartape.
