Bobcat trail identification help!

Retro Newbie
Hi there everyone!
Just to preface I'm brand new to the retro bike scene and this is my first post on the forum so I don't know too much about what I'm looking at here.

I was wanting to ask for some help identifying the old Marin I had when I was a kid, I remember buying it from a neighbor in the 2000s but don't know much about the bike except that I really abused the poor thing.

I've done some research and found that the serial number doesn't match any of the ones posted in the previous identification threads so I'm a little stumped.

The bike is from San Diego California since it still has the old stickers from the bike shop where it was initially sold.

The serial number is KA3HS0018.
Is has a Shimano Altus C10 groupset and brake handles and Shimano ST-CT15 shifters that look to be from 1993?
The frame size from the bottom bracket to the top of the seat post looks to be 16 or 16½ inches.
I'm 5'9" so I don't know if it's a little small for me now since I'm pretty new to bikes.

Everything minus the frame seems to be in general disrepair and from the condition it all needs to be replaced.

But before embarking on a restoration like that I'd like to collect some information on it!

Thank you all in advance, I really appreciate the help PXL_20230926_201951877.jpg PXL_20230926_202017333.jpg PXL_20230926_202145249.jpg

Nice,
Can't be certain but judging by the livery I think that's a '93.
Have a look in the archives section for the Marin brochures, pretty sure there's a 93 catalogue in there
good luck with the resto..

Yes, its from 1993. Here in the UK we got the other colour/color scheme of two silvery tones and green bits here and there. For reasons that aren't truly understood, everywhere else in the world got 'continental' colour schemes.
It'll just keep riding. Nice strong beast is an old marin.
Cheers.
