Froome didn't even make it to the cobbles, two furthers crashes en route to the pave, on top of yesterdays crash and it's game over

Shame about Froome but maybe it opens the General Classification up
a bit more - Valverde, Nibali...etc against Contador is to my mind more
interesting than Froome vs Contador.
