Seventy Three
Retro Newbie
My bike build is almost done (Kona 2005 frame) but I still need a front fork, and prefereably a rigid one.
The bike would have originally came with a Marzocchi DJ suspension fork with a 100mm drop so, after investigation and trawling various forums, its seems that a rigid fork of 445mm seems to be the correct size.
I want a carbon fork though, to save a little weight, but they're expensive and I'm on a budget but I've came across a superstar carbon fork (which is essencially the same fork as Nukeproof and Exotic just branded differently) for the right price but its a 425mm size.
So my question is: will 2cm less at the front cause any major geometry problems or in the great scheme of things will I really notice at all?
Cheers in advance,
David
