Spent most of the day looking at blue sky….really want to ride….haven’t actually been out on my bike since Mayhem, only done TT work….spend all of the drive home deciding what to ride….in and change….fill the Camelback and get the LTS out….2 min spin on the road and then I hit the trail….dry and dusty….fly down the first rocky and stone strewn drop….downtube pings and chain rattles….sun beats its warmth on my back….sit down and spin up the first hill….forehead now damp….into the woods and gain some brief relief from the heat….zap along the singletrack and my grips work themselves loose….dammit….stop, grips off, rub bar down, put grips back, problem resolved....farm track and footpath miles pass….cheery ramblers say 'hello' :D ....reach the edge of RAF Waddington….loads of airshow related air traffic….watch an AWAK do bumps and circuits as I ride alongside….blast the next footpath downhill in the big ring….catch a little airtime….couple more miles of open farm track and I’m home….hot and sweaty but clean kit and clean bike….best ride of my life 8)

That looks like a great area to ride 8) Sunday I rode Kew to Hampton Court river path. Along the Thames. But so many people walking. On the way back much better and could get a good rate of knots up. :D

You'll have to come up Tony. I'm thinking of organising another Lincoln ride August/September time, so will give you time to organise rail travel!
