in a rare moment of generosity I've offered to fit some v-brakes to a friend's bike.

I'd forgotten it's a 'ladies' stepthrough with dropped top tube cable routing, emerging some way below the rear brake position. Is there any reason why I shouldn't use a standard 90deg noodle mounted upside down?
Other than making sure it clears the brake arm when 'quick-releasing', I can't see why not, I just don't remember ever seeing it done...
