The seat post remover man claims to remove post without damage to frame or post.... bit late now..

What's the post made from?

So you got it out then?
Got to say my Raleigh Dynatech ti frame has a insert to drop it to 30mm and it is very tight with the Dynatech post..too tight IMHO.

Hi Rampage, the post is aluminium, it was an ITM team Raleigh post but it is chewed from the vice now and the clamp has unbonded
I was more bothered about the frame and just wanted the post out but it would have been nice to have kept the post too.

Cheers

hi Gerard
no the post is still well and truely stuck. i run a 27.0 with an aftermarket shim in my Torus. The post is stuck in my RSP not sure what size the post is as the original owner had it in from way back when, could be the wrong size which could be contributing to its stuckness

Even the seatpost man might struggle. I've seen the shim come out of the frame once or twice. Just with manual methods!
Then you get the fun job of peeling it off the seatpost. Or just giving up and gluing something from USE into place.

Re:

As the seatpost is now toast why don't you try to bang it down a little thus breaking the bond and then drill through the post so you can put a large screwdriver or bar through it to try and twist it.
