Stuck bb help

Re:

Success at last.

Mike (splatter paint) came to visit and brought along some plusgas.

A squirt of that, two pairs of hands and it finally came out.

Alloy side first, nylon side came out easily. It looks like the steel rusted and swelled, pushing against the cups.

Bb threads look absolutely fine thankfully.

Just need to get the cable guide bolt off now, then I clean it all up and get it built.

Thanks for your help Mike!!

Yeah. That BB is ready to go in the for-sale section "NOS, some superficial mounting marks". ;)

Let me fish it out of the bin.....

Slight play, bearings smooth. Superficial marks, won't affect function. Near mint ;)

Fantastic news.

My next suggestion was a 48" webster bennet vertical borer. They make short work of the whole bb axle. Rest just falls out then.

Well done.
